Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating needles on various points on the body to relieve pain, or for therapeutic purposes. Acupuncture can reduce anxiety and stress, and can increase energy and vitality. It can also aide the client in sleeping better, and regaining a more normal appetite. Because MS damages myelin in the central nervous system, the disease interferes with messages between the body and the brain.

Acupuncture can mediate the effects of this disease because it releases endorphins and peptides in the brain, which modulate sensory information between the brain and body.
